Rudolph Garth Dennis: Black Uhuru Founding Member is Dead
The founding member of Black Uhuru reggae music group Rudolph Garth’s death was confirmed by Wailing Souls The sad news was first made public by Wailing Souls through their official Facebook page. The cause of his death was not disclosed; reggae music lovers camped on social media to mourn him with emotional posts. Rudolph Garth, one of the founding members of the legendary reggae band, Black Uhuru is dead. Sudden demise news about his demise was first made public on Friday, December 10, through various social media platforms. In a post by Wailing Souls through their official Facebook page mourned the late Garth as a true brother and friend they had the honour to grow and work with.

Shaggy to present four-part weekly series on BBC Radio 2
In Shaggy’s Reggae Hotshots, the singer will be guiding listeners through 60 years of music from his homeland island of Jamaica and celebrating everything from Ska to Rocksteady, Reggae to Dancehall. Artists featured include Bob Marley, Black Uhuru, Marcia Griffiths, Shabba Ranks, Lady G, Queen Ifrica, Gregory Isaacs, Jada Kingdom, Maxi Priest, Peter Tosh, Shenseea, Sean Paul and many more. The show airs each Saturday from 2 October, 9-10pm. Shaggy says: “I’m looking forward to sharing some of the music that has helped shaped me and that I listened to growing up – some of the songs and artists that have represented my home, Jamaica, across the globe – only on BBC Radio 2.”
