Dread Code features five dubscapes, full of heavy bass and psychedelic effects, with Drew Id firmly at the controls. Inspired by the UK steppers scene and Australia’s outdoor bass culture, the EP celebrates roots music and the influence it has on digital culture, community and music.

Using live dub techniques in the studio to build up rhythm and bass structures, and an arsenal of hardware synths and toys to create unique textures and melodies, Dread Code takes Drew Id’s sonic storytelling to the next level. Pushing a more uptempo sound and a positive vibe for these troubled times, the EP brings us together at the outdoor dancehall to celebrate our connection to one another and the planet.
